This old barn is no longer here, but what a story it could tell if it would talk.
I love old barns they don't and can't make them like they used to, its just far to expensive.
I remember running a solid oak wood sled built out of 4x6 oak timber runners into the corner post of our barn with OLE JIM the work mule. Jim was in a hurry to go to his stall and thought that was where I was headed, but I had different ideas. Dad had me hauling tobacco into the barn to hang for drying and when JIm cut the corner into the barn the sled runner grabbed the hand hewn 12x12 corner timber and jerked it about 16 " out of whack. Well we later tried to pull it back into place with a Farmall H tractor and couldn't budge it. Later we tried to pull another set of like timbers from our house apart with the tractor and it couldn't even pull apart the joint even though it was 110 years old.

I'm self taught he says and studied all the best photographers From Ansel Adams forward. His main interest lies in Landscapes, nature, wildlife, farms, barns and the outdoors. He has a knack and the eye for bringing out the color and beauty presented to capture that moment in time that passes so quickly. Over...
